NV, CA COVID-19 Cases Surging, Reopening Halted

The Coronavirus Pandemic is surging in states across the Country. CA and NV are both facing COVID-19 surges, halting reopening phases. It is mandatory to wear a facemask across the states of CA and NV when in public spaces. Health officials urge the public to continue practicing Social and Physical Distancing as hospitalizations increase.

NV Reopens, CA Moves to Phase 3 Re-opening June 12, 2020

NV has re-opened amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic as of June 4, 2020. Social and Physical Distancing is still strongly encouraged, but NV is open and adjusting to a “new normal.”

CA Gov. Newsom announces that beginning June 12, schools, pro sports, gyms, bars can resume operations. This will officially mark Phase 3 of the State’s plan to fully re-opening. It is still mandatory to wear masks in public and health officials urge the public to continue practicing Social and Physical Distancing.

CA. Working On Phase 3 Reopening, NV Opening up at 50% Capacity

Date: May 18, 2020

CA will continue into “phase 3” when it is safe to do so per Gov. Newsom. In the meantime, non-essential retail stores have reopened for curbside pick-up. The state is putting out guidelines for restaurants reopening dining rooms for dine-in service.

NV opened all businesses at 50% Capacity, with exceptions of Casinos and Massage Parlors remaining closed. Social Distancing practices remain in effect.

CA. Gov Reveals Reopening Guidelines

CA Gov. Gavin Newsom provides insight into the 2nd phase of the state’s reopening plan. On Friday, May 8, retail businesses began to re-open for curbside pick-up only. Gov. Newsom will be providing a detailed press conference Tuesday, May 12 laying out plans for phase 3.

Nevada and Colorado Join in Western States Pact on Coronavirus Strategy

Nevada Governor Sisolak, along with Colorado Governor Polis joined the Western States Pact, a group of Governors working together on Coronavirus strategy. CA Gov. Newsom and L.A. Mayor Garcetti make announcements on            “Scaling Back” Safer At Home Orders

Date: April 15, 2020

On Tuesday April 14, 2020 CA Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a 6-point plan created with the cooperation of Washington and Oregon governors that included more COVID-19 testing, but also reminded of the importance of following “social distancing” practices. 

 

During L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti’s public address on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, he discussed a plan for scaling back “safer at home” orders consisting of “5 pillars.” Mayor Garcetti stressed the importance of testing and reported on the 30 testing locations available around the county (for more information: coronavirus.lacity.org). Much like the announcement from Gov. Gavin Newsom, decisions regarding the opening of the County and City will come from guidance and input of Medical Professionals. 

 

During the April 15, 2020 address, CA Gov. Newsom also touched on the importance of “physical distancing” measures, as they are working and that he will be providing updates regarding opening of the economy on a weekly basis in accordance with updates of his 6-point plan.

NV Gov. Sisolak public address on Stay at Home Directive and PPE

NV Gov. Steve Sisolak addressed the state's unemployment program, the status of the “Stay at home” directive, and Nevada’s PPE “yellow status.”  The Governor said that the opening of the Nevada Economy would be done in conjunction with advice from health professionals, who play a “key role.”

In regards to PPE, the Governor explained that the current PPE status is a “yellow” rating. Yellow means that healthcare professionals are receiving the PPE necessary, but that’s through donations and on-hand state supply. There is not enough stock of on-hand PPE throughout the state and until there is, there will be no update to the PPE rating of “green.” Sisolak added that he would work with other western regional governors and Nevada's local governments on a plan to reopen the economy.

L.A. County announces Stay at Home Extension through May 15

Date: April 10, 2020
Health and elected officials announced an extension of the California “Safer at Home” Order through at least May 15, 2020. The extension is to promote physical and social distancing to aid in “flattening the curve.” Dr. Ferrer, the Director of the Department of Public Health said, “we still have a ways to go in order to both protect the lives of people who live in our county and [we need] to make sure that our healthcare system remains fully able to service all who need their care." In addition to the extended order, a facial covering ordinance is in effect across all of L.A. County beginning April 15, 2020. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said “people may be cited for not wearing masks in public after the order goes into effect.”

CA Gov. Gavin Newsom announces partnership with FEMA to provide meals to seniors during COVID-19 pandemic

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a new partnership with FEMA Friday afternoon that will provide three meals each day to California's elderly population struggling amid the coronavirus pandemic. This new program will be in addition to the Meals on Wheels program which provides 50,000 meals to California's senior population. The governor said there are one million seniors isolated at home during this pandemic and that this partnership with FEMA and Restaurants will provide three meals a day to seniors in need. In regards to religious gatherings, ahead of Easter Sunday, the Governor also reminded people to practice “Social Distancing” and “practice their faith in a way that allows you to keep yourself healthy [and]  keeps others healthy.”

NV Gov. Steve Sisolak Announces new COVID-19 Restrictions

Date: April 8, 2020

With Easter Sunday approaching, Gov. Sisolak reminds the public that there are to be no more than 10 people congregating. Sisolak went on to urge Religious bodies to use technology and the internet for prayer services. The Governor has implemented the following restrictions across Nevada until the COVID-19 Pandemic is over: 

• Closure all sporting facilities like golf courses and public swimming pools

• Showrooms for cars and household appliances are now closed. Cars and household appliances can still be sold and delivered to customers, but no showrooms

• No open house showings of homes by real estate. People can still buy and sell homes and can see a house in person with an appointment, but there cannot be open houses for multiple buyers

• Licensed barbers and stylists are prohibited from offering in-home services

• Grocery stores cannot sell unpackaged bulk dry goods or have other self-service groceries for sale

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti Issues Worker Protection Order

Date: April 7, 2020

The Worker Protection Order is to provide further protections for our non-medical essential workers, requiring them to wear non-medical grade face coverings while performing their work. When frequenting the grocery store, or another essential place of business under the mayor’s order, you must wear a face-covering as well.

NV Gov. Steve Sisolak Addresses The Coronavirus Pandemic

Date: April 6, 2020

Gov. Sisolak provided an update on COVID-19 across Nevada. The Governor informed that they are working on new/more test kits and urged Nevadans to wear a red ribbon to show support for Healthcare Workers and First Responders. Gov. Sisolak ordered 450 additional Ventilators from FEMA and finished his address by reminding the public to practice “Social Distancing.”

Updated Office Visitor Policy

To minimize exposure we have limited office visitors. All office visitors will answer a COVID-19 questionnaire and have their temperature taken before entering the building. ​

Stay at Home Nevada 

Date: March 20, 2020

Dynamic is considered “Essential” per Governor Steve Sisolak as stated in NAC 414.XXX Section 1 (A) and we will continue to provide Caregiving and Home Health Care Services across Southern Nevada.  Gov. Sisolak issues stay at home order in Nevada and the closure of all “non-essential” businesses through Directive 003.

Our In-Home Care agencies provide essential medical and non-medical care to seniors, adults, and the disabled in the communities we serve. We are open and ready to assist new and current clients/patients during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are taking all of the necessary precautions to protect our clients/patients, staff, and community. Although there is a national shortage of PPE, we continue to work with our suppliers have sent requests to the local emergency response outlets in order to obtain the additional PPE necessary for the safety of our patients/clients and staff. We are working in accordance with the CDC, WHO, and State Department of Health and as information is becoming available, we are implementing and adjusting policies to manage this very rapidly changing situation. 

We remind our patients/clients, their families, and our employees to take everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with a minimum of 60% alcohol. It is also extremely important to avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, avoid close contact with people who are sick, and always stay home when you are sick. If we all adhere to the “social distancing” policies implemented by our government and take the necessary precautions, we will get through this and “flatten the curve.”

Governor Gavin Newsom issues a stay at home order for the state of California. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti also issues stay at home order for LA. In this order, per section 13 (r)​ Home Based Care for seniors, adults, disabled persons, or children is defined as an “Essential Business” allowing Dynamic to Remain Open and provide Home Health Care and Caregiving Services across Southern California.

Los Angeles City Measures to Address COVID-19

Date: March 15, 2020

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti orders all Bars and Nightclubs to suspend the operation of in-person service, prohibiting dine-in food service. The order allows bars and restaurants to offer delivery service, pick-up, or drive-thru and proprietors are directed to establish social distancing practices for those patrons in the queue for pick-up. In addition, all movie theaters, live performance venues, bowling alleys, and arcades shall be closed to the public. Furthermore, all gyms and fitness centers shall be closed to the public.
